Concord Township DRAFT Board & Administrative Policy Manual

Concord TWP Board Policy Manual

Based on a framework provided by the Michigan Township Association I drafted this manual in 2017 to address a shortcoming in Township Management Architecture. It’s been discussed several times since and has been brought to its present form by your Admin team, Sheryll Dishaw and Judy Clark and I. It will be presented to the Board for their review and comment at our upcoming meeting (8/12/19) and will be available to the public for comment as well. Once everyone has offered their input, it will be polished and presented for a vote, probably at our September meeting, if all goes well.

All of our meetings are open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. You may comment any way convenient, at the meeting, through the link at the bottom of this article, by phone, mail or email. We look forward to hearing from you!

2.8 Board Consultants – The township board reserves to itself the authority to appoint, contract with or engage the following consultants as needed and at their sole discretion: 1. Attorney 2. Auditor 3. Engineer/Architect 4. Other consultants which possess such expertise on subject matter which may be useful to the township board.

Where is reference to the Michigan Open Meetings Act and the adherence by the Township Board members, Planning Commission members, Zoning Board of Appeals members and any other official board of Concord Township ?
    Thank you, Doug Terry

      Doug,

Good to hear from you – especially considering your comment proves someone reads this stuff! I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking but my curiosity is piqued. I’ll call you when I get back from vacation for clarification, OK?
